Well, we can hope.
After the pre-holiday frenzy subsides and before the feasting and gift-giving, some of us might feel a little melancholy, others might feel nostalgic or maybe even filled with loving kindness. This painting seems to capture these and other emotions, and to me evokes Christmas Eve in a particularly beautiful way.
